Compression fitting

Compression fittings are very popular in the petrochemical, oil and gas, semiconductor or power industry. Because these provide leakages free & gas tight piping connection. Installation of Compression Fitting are very quick and easy as these fittings doesn't require heat or soldering. But these compression fittings are not as robust as soldered fittings so many contractor choose Solder fittings for robust piping connection in big size jobs. Double ferrule compression fittings are in first choice when installations need to be disassembled once in a while. These compression fittings can be re-used, keeping the cost of materials as low as possible.

NPT Fittings

NPT full form is National Pipe Taper. NPT is the most common U.S. standard for forged fittings. NPT fittings are measured on the internal diameter of the fitting.

NPT fittings are designed for high-pressure (Class 3000 – Class 6000) applications, and known for distinctive profile for maximum strength. The most common NPT fittings are 68,948 kPa (10,000 psi). NPT Thread is defined by ANSI/ASME standard B1.20.1
