Duplex stainless steels

Duplex stainless steels is the most popular grade of stainless steels developed in the 1960's. Duplex stainless steels are also known by other name called “duplex” or "or austenitic-ferritic" because this developed consisting of grains of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel. Duplex stainless steels are about two time strong compare to the regular austenitic or ferritic stainless steels. Duplex stainless steels became first choice for industrial use because of better toughness and ductility than ferritic grades. Super-duplex grades are mainly used to meet specific demands of the oil & gas industry as well as chemical industries.
