Considered to be a more premium alloy amongst the other Hastelloy groups, the Nickel Alloy C22 Hollow Bar is one of the more expensive metals. However, the costly price of the ASTM B574 UNS N06022 hex bar can be justified due to the multiple benefits our buyers can reap from it.

For instance, if you take the corrosion resistance properties of the Hastelloy® C22 Forged Bar, they are much better than alloy C276. Although the C22 Hastelloy hot rolled round bar tends to lack the popularity and versatility the C276 enjoys. Speaking about its weldability, the Hastelloy C22 Square Bar can be utilized for many applications that involve welding and it can be used in an as welded condition.
This is because the ASME SB574 Alloy C-22 Flat Bar does not present an opportunity for the occurrence of grain boundary precipitates especially in the area that has been heated during welding operations. Conventional welding techniques such as gas tungsten arc, shield metal arc, as well as gas metal arc methods can be used to weld the WERKSTOFF NR. 2.4602 Bright Bar.
But what makes the Hastelloy Alloy C22 Cold Drawn Round Bars really distinguishing amongst the other alloys is that the alloy is not prone to attack even in upset conditions that occur in industries such as marine environment or in nuclear fuel reprocessing as well as flue gas desulfurization. Since the Hastelloy C22 Round Bar offers resistance to not only reducing but also oxidising conditions, the Nickel Alloy C22 Rod is regarded as an ideal material for use in upset conditions.

The Hastelloy C22 is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy with tungsten stabilization. It is used in different shapes. The flat bars and hex bars are two of the bar types. The sizes of these bars differ according to strength and pressure requirements of the applications. They range from 100mm to 6000mm in length. There are custom sizes made but the common size is rather small. The diameter of the round bars and the width of the hex bars can range from 3mm to 800mm depending on the application. The length differs from supplier to supplier and custom requirements of the applications as well.
