Often referred to by its other trade names i.e. Nicrofer 5621, Inconel 622 or Superimphy C22, the tubes produced from Alloy NW 6022 material are covered by the ASTM B626 as well as ASTM B622 specifications.

While UNS N06022 tubing covers seamlessly constructed tubes, ASTM B626 takes welded tubes into consideration. Considered to be the most versatile metal amongst nickel- chromium- molybdenum alloy grades, the ASME SB622 C22 Hastelloy hot finish tubing has very high tensile strength rivalling that to its own Hastelloy counterparts C-4 & C-276. In fact, the tensile strength properties of the DIN 2.4602 cold drawn tube are much higher than the nickel based Inconel 625.
Moreover, the corrosion resistance properties of the ASTM B626 Nickel Alloy C22 ERW Tube tend to be rather spectacular. To illustrate, the addition of tungsten to an already super combination of elements i.e. chromium, nickel and molybdenum in the ASME SB626 C22 Hastelloy Welded tube puts the corrosion resistance properties to a whole new level. Which is why the ASTM B622 Alloy C22 annealed tube has the ability to exemplify its corrosion resistance properties, especially in stagnant or flowing seawater. Being one of the more reliable alloys, the Hastelloy C22 Tube also has the ability to resist general or localized corrosion.
The Alloy C22 Seamless Tubing produced from both the specifications i.e. ASTM B626 and ASTM B622 are required to conform to the chemical analysis as well as the mechanical properties as mentioned in the standards.

Hastelloy C22 tube
6 mm OD x 0.7 mm to 50.8 mm OD x 3 mm thk.
The Hastelloy C22 is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy stabilized with tungsten. It has high pitting and crevice corrosion. The material is strong and ductile as well. Due to these mechanical properties, it is applied in a variety of applications with different shapes and types. The pipes are the circular, tubular, hollow objects made up of this material. The tubes can have oval, rectangular or square cross sections. The basic difference is the shape of these two, but there are other variations such as the diameter, wall thickness and the pressure ratings as well.
