Inconel 625

Inconel 625 has a Chemical Composition of: Nickel 58.0 min. Chromium 20.0-23.0. Iron 5.0 max. Molybdenum 8.0-10.0. Niobium (plus Tantalum) 3.15-4.15. Carbon 0.10 max. Manganese 0.50 max. Silicon 0.50 max. Phosphorus 0.015 max. Sulfur 0.015 max. Aluminum 0.40 max. Titanium 0.40 max. Cobalt a 1.0 max. Alloy 625 material has a density of 8.44 g/cm3 (0.305 lbs/in3). Inconel 625 products are used in various industries such as in equipment handling in chemical processing, in reducing, as well as in oxidizing.

These Inconel 625 material are also used in waste flare gas stacks in petroleum refining. They are also used in marine services such as in exhaust systems of navy ships, as well as in steam line bellows. In air pollution control, in flue gas desulfurization, dampers and chimney liners, products made from Inconel 625 are in big demand. Inconel 625 has a Specific Heat of 427 J/kg-°C (0–100°C),  0.102 BTU/lb-°F (32–212°F). Inconel 625 has a Thermal Conductivity of 212°F (100°C) and an Electrical Resistivity of 128.9 Microhm-cm at 21°C (50.8 Microhm-in at 70°F).

The Melting Range of Inconel 625 is 1290–1350°C (2350–2460°F). Inconel 625 are in big demand in various applications such as in waste reprocessing equipment, control rod components and in the reactor core in the nuclear industry. Inconel 625 has an outstanding fatigue and thermal-fatigue strength, it also has high tensile, creep and rupture strength. Plus, it has superb brazeability and weldability, making it a superior choice for use in the aerospace industry.

Inconel alloy 625 products are a type of Nickel based alloy with a high Chromium content (approx. 25wt%) with an addition of Aluminium, Alloy 625 is mainly used for high temperature oxidising applications in the heat treatment of metals and materials.Oxidation resistance is further enhanced by the aluminum content. The properties of INCONEL alloy 625 make it a material of broad utility in such fields as aerospace, chemical processing, thermal processing, power generation and pollution control. Alloy 625 products are just one of high resistance alloy products at our premise in Mumbai, India.

Alloy 625 material is a corrosion and oxidation resistant nickel alloy that is used both for its high strength and outstanding aqueous corrosion resistance. Its outstanding strength and toughness is due to the addition of niobium which acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloy’s matrix. Alloy 625 has excellent fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance to chloride ions.
